About us

The Kenya-Ireland Airlift Program was founded out of the need to expose Kenyans to opportunities in Ireland as well as support those who arrive from Kenya. Ireland is the new frontier where most Kenyans are coming and therefore KIAP came in handy as an avenue for welcoming new Kenyans in Ireland as well as supporting those with the intention to relocate both as expatriates and students.

Message from the founders

Fernandos Ongolly- Founder

I moved to Ireland as a Researcher in January 2020 within the covid-19 pandemic. Arriving within the middle of the pandemic exposed me to the loneliness of being in a foreign country far a way from home. Even with the challenges that I faced, I still took advantage to network and learn about this beautiful country. As I realized most of the things that posed a challenge for me to settle in were related to the lack of information on settling in Ireland and proper direction, I made it my personal initiative to create a platform for many other Kenyans arriving as expats and students to land here smoothly. Over time, I also noticed the growing interest in Irish job opportunities as well as studying and visiting Ireland among Kenyans back at home. This is why I founded this program to guide Kenyans interested in Irish opportunities as well as provide support services to those arriving in Ireland.
